Show Shae really was one of the first warning bells of the show for me. Clearly D&D had some simple-minded feminist idea of her not being a whore that tells rich guys what they want to hear, but instead a "strong female character". They kept going on about how she "really loved Tyrion", even though that completely goes against the point what happens when she dies. Nothing she does in the show makes any sense and it shows that D&D don't really understand the story they're writing.
