I really don't get why Trump supporters treat him royalty and that he can do no wrong. It's fucking creepy, like early 20th century cult-of-personality. He's just as bad as the rest of them, but with a bigger ego and less experience.
>>
chinaaah
>>
>>70336742
No different from the way Bernie supporters treat their master.
>>
>>70336742

Wait, you don't actually take the "God Emperor" thing literally, do you? We're playing it for laughs, you know that right?
>>
>>70336996
Not him, but I really really think /pol/ takes that all literally. There's absolutely no way it's satirical. Ask any one of them, they'll agree that it is genuine.
>>
>>70336996
there's still 0 criticism of him on /pol/
When he came out for replacing Obamacare with a bigger, better form of government healthcare? No one objected
When he addressed AIPAC and plays buddy-buddy with the Jewish lobby? Next to no comment
When he said we need to expand the war against ISIS and get more involved in the Middle East (and when he said we need to get less involved) /pol/ was there agreeing with him

Trump is just a symbol of what liberals hate now, so it doesn't matter what he actually says or stands for. Tomorrow he can say we're enacting total protectionism and pulling out of NAFTA, or he could say we're expanding free trade across the board, and /pol/ would still love him for it as long as Democrats spoke against it. He's an idol for American tribalism and that's it
>>
>>70333123
Damn I just realized Trump is a stale meme.

What is going to happen when the whole country is burned out on these meme candidates come election day?

That's a lie.
And if you were being fair you would acknowledge his campaign is astroturfing the shit out of /pol/. There are definitely fewer authentic posters in his generals anymore.

I only hope this meme has not done too much damage to the old time /pol/ consensus that there is no hope for democracy anymore and we must simply wait for the happening to come upon us. No point scooching this dead horse down the lane any further.
>>
>>70337213
that's the ultimate /pol/ defense
If they say something stupid or were proven wrong, it was just memes and laughing around
Otherwise /pol/ was right all along and it's the only bastion of free speech where people have the courage to take such an impassioned stand

Ironically it's the same thing conservatives liked to criticize the Daily Show for, claiming to be both trying to inform the public but also using comedy as an excuse when they exaggerated, but that's all in the past. Kind of like how the reason we hated SJW's was because they wouldn't shut up and turned every inconsequential thing they didn't like into triggerathon 2010 and a new front on the culture war, but now that the alt-right is doing it, it's fine
>>
>>70337209
Contrarians here will become liberal again.
>>
>>70337294
/pol/ is always right has been dead since /pol/ harbor. The elders of /pol/ do not recognize neo-/pol/. We are traveling oldfags who bemoan our once glorious board and will be told ____ was never good until we are gone, just like old /v/ and /b/ before it.
>>
For real I'm guessing it will be the next DUDE WEED LMAO and James Franco joint film, with Franco starring doing a terrible impression.

>And if you were being fair you would acknowledge his campaign is astroturfing the shit out of /pol/
I have no idea how anyone would go about proving this since every opinion on /pol/ is called a shill post and it's become a meaningless accusation. I honestly doubt Trump even needs to shill considering how many dedicate trolls and true believers there are out there. I mean look at GG, or the dozen red pill podcasts out there run by /pol/tards; some people clearly care enough about this shit to devote a lot of time into it, so it's not like there aren't genuine /pol/ posters who are just there to shill their own pet causes or anything
>>
>>70337415
>I honestly doubt Trump even needs to shill
You honestly think the best run campaign since obummer just happened spontaneously? If that's how the world worked Ron Paul would be leaving his second term right now.

Newfags fell for the meme, and I have no doubt there are some oldfags who support him, but their support from a few interactions I've had has literally brought them into the fold of his campaign.
>>
>>70335088
that was almost a decade ago senpai
>>
>>70337415
Also Gamergate doesn't have the critical mass it once did. Do you see sustained generals pushing their way through the content ban anywhere on this site? Trump would have threads even if the mods were deleting them for spam (which they aren't) while happening threads about real shit going down that is actually out of the mainstream consciousness does get pruned (such as a thread yesterday about a lock down a german village where two asylum centers with feuding religious denominations were being housed).

I'm sure the moderation support for the meme candidates is tacit and not complicit whereas other websites probably have more direct cooperation. 4chan is still the subject of a lot of coordinated shilling campaigns, and because of the sophistication of modern shilling technology poe's law has begun to apply to artificial content.

Even as a Trump supporter, I actually completely believe that. However, I do believe that Trump at this late stage in his life is thinking less about things like money and more about leaving a lasting legacy. And if he wants to be remembered fondly long after his death, then what better way to do that than to be the guy who "Makes America Great Again"?

Plus, there are no other alternatives. He really is the only candidate worth voting for.

The stuff about Obama was pretty creepy, but Trump's supporters take it to a whole new level. Last election I never heard any of Obama's supporters threatening violence to critics.
