>>
So, why aren't there any movies about man-eating tigers?
You got lions and a million killer shark or crocodile movies but none about a thing that used to eat humans by the hundred until the British killed most of them.
>>
I fucking hate snakes

I fucking hate them so much
>>
>>70325064
Because most popular movies are made by Americans.
And Americans don't know anything about or have any interest in what happens outside.
>>
>>70325064
Jungle Book
Life of Pi
Maneater
>>
surprised they havent gone back to redo Arachnophobia
>>
We have evil...

Shark (Jaws, Deep Blue Sea)
Snake (Anaconda)
Spider (Arachnophobia, Eight Legged Freaks)
Crocodile (Lake Placid)
Birds (Birds, Birdemic (kek))
Fish (Piranha)

What other horror animals are there and what would you like to see in the future?
>>
>>70325064
I watched all the Lake Placid movies in a week because my greatest fear is crocodiles so even as the quality dropped as the series went on it still fascinated me.
Currently watching the Andaconda movies so I can fully appreciate Lake Placid vs. Anaconda(stupid I know)

Don't forget the killer baboon
>>
>>70325064
I remember watching one with gary busey in a hotel. Maneater or something like that I thought it was pretty great.

Dinosaurs (Jurassic Park)
Dog (Cujo)
Ape (Planet of the Apes, Straight Outta Compton)
Lion (The Ghost and the Darknes, The Lion King)
Wolf (The Grey)
Gorilla (Congo)
Sheep (Black Sheep)
And a couple of deep sea monster movies with krakens or giant squid but I don't know any titles.

Isn't there a tually a movie where Ron Perlman fights an island full of killer baboons? Maybe it's just some scifi original and I'm subbing in Ron Perlman for the immemorable lead in that. I remember kt used practical effects and real baboon footage, so it was pr'spooks.

I can think of a couple

The beast 1996
Deep rising 1998
Creature 1998 was okay, but it's borderline a monster movie since it's not actually a real animal

There's a movie about a Komodo dragon that's just called "komodo".

I think Komodo dragons could be the next big horror animal.

>drools constantly
>looks like a dried up shit with legs
>those fucking hissing noises
>always stink because of their love of carrion
>go into a blood frenzy when eating
>will bite a buffalo on the leg and follow it for days waiting for it to die from infection due to it's rank ass oral hygiene.

Gotta be some money in a survival horror movie about a group of people being picked off by komodos on an island after getting stranded.

Anyone else ITT really think they could probably fuck up a giant alligator in a fight?

The jaw pressure they exhibit is only when biting down, and their jaws can be held shut with the strength of two normal human fingers. I wouldn't have to worry about tail whips or death rolls because I have the reflexes of a cat and the speed of a mongoose. I figure I could lead it onto land, juke it and do a spin move while avoiding it's jaws and tail whip, get it's back or get in it's gator guard and hold it's jaw closed with one hand, then plunge a large knife directly into the soft area above the crown of it's skull severing it's brain stem and instantly killing it with the other hand. It would be quite simple really.

>On December 9, 1915, at 10:30 a.m., the giant brown bear turned up at the home of the ÅŒta family. Abe Mayu, the farmer's wife, and Hasumi Mikio, a baby being taken care of by Mayu, were at the house. Mikio was bitten on the head and killed. Mayu fought back, apparently by throwing firewood, and tried to escape.
>She was overtaken, knocked down, and dragged into the forest. According to contemporary descriptions the scene resembled a slaughterhouse, with blood puddled on the farmhouse floor.

> Into the Grizzly Maze
Came out last year. Has Thomas Jane, Piper Peraboo, James Marsden, and Billy Bob Thorton in it. It's a pretty damn fun movie.

> Prey
About a woman and her step kids breaking down in the woods and being stalked by lions. Pretty fun.

> Snakehead Terror
Can't find a copy of it anywhere, but it's a syfy movie that's about as b-movie fun as you can get.

> Black water
Well made low budget croc movie about tourists breaking down in a swamp.

Stars Lou Diamond Phillips and is known for being gleefully awful.

I remember a part where the familys oldest son got on his dirtbike and the noise it made pissed them off and he led the bees away fro a while.

I think they ended up finding an underground passage in their basement while they were trapped that led to an old farmhouse that they climbed out of.

Movie scared the shit out of me.

I worked at the Beardsley Zoo in CT for a bit, Crocodiles and alligators are absolutely dumb as shit. They have no peripheral vision and will never find anything that isn't completely in front of them. If you're feeding the crocs their chicken and they miss it and it falls to the bottom, you have to get them out of the tank and get it out because the chicken will never be found/eaten and will rot in there.

They also have absolutely no depth perception. To get killed by one of these things you either have to be caught totally be surprise in the water or be stupid as shit.

The polar bear is the comfiest of all the land creatures

Seeking solitude amongst the penguns, it truly is a god amongst heathens

>to this day only 5 percent of the entire worlds sea has been explored

Just imagine what could lurk on the deepest depth of the ocean.

>>70335154

polar bears are arctic and penguins are antarctic, which by definition is as far apart as you can be
>>
>>70335208
Nothing, there's nothing interesting there. Trust me

the polar bears ate all the penguins though. they wanted to live with them they just ran out of food.

Diver worked for a company, saw some weird animals there but company wouldn't let him talk about it because they'd have to stop whatever they were doing, there was also military underwater shit and stuff like that, it was cool. One of the animals he saw was similar to one of those aquatic dinosaurs. He worked 3 months in the whole year and his salary was pretty great.
