A crown grows out his head,
Black Phillip, Black Phillip
To nanny queen is wed.
Jump to the fence post,
Running in the stall.
Black Phillip, Black Phillip
King of all.
Black Phillip, Black Phillip
King of sky and land,
Black Phillip, Black Phillip
King of sea and sand.
We are ye servants,
We are ye men.

From the lions' den.

>Director makes a movie so convincing he literally gets tried for murder in a court of law
>thinking that movie isn't a classic
>mfw
>>70326230
I like 1 better than 2 but I understand the perspective of people who like 2 better. They're both amazing, unfortunately the rest of the series is pretty much shit.
>>70326348
I mostly read non-fiction desu

>Faces of Death
I haven't watched that in so long. I remember downloading it off of Limewire. It was gnarly as hell but also pretty fun as I remember it.
>>70323354
Black Christmas is seriously fucking good.
>>70326720
Love that movie, basically Halloween before Halloween
>>70326458
Come on dude it was only because of gore
Shock content =/= good horror
>>70326458
Well if you're into visceral torture porn you should start reading some extreme horror books, that shit is right up your alley
I recommend Savage Species by Jonathan Janz
>>70326779
I think the movie also gives you a sense of adventure. It feels like you've really traveled to the Amazon and encountered this tribe yourself. It's fun (for me at least) to think about uncontacted tribes in places like the Amazon and what kind of customs they might have. It's like the world's most hardcore documentary.

I'll look into it, thanks.
idk what to recommend based on what you mentioned OP but these are some of my favs
Cure (1997)
Spoorloos (READING/WATCHING ANYTHING ABOUT THIS WILL SPOIL IT JUST WATCH IT ALSO AVOID THE SHITTY AMERICAN REMAKE)
Audition (1999) (same advice as spoorloos)
Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer
Clean, Shaven
i also like texas chainsaw massacre 2 but be aware it's a comedy. candyman 2 is also a worthy followup to the first but pretty much a retread.
>martyrs
>à l'intérieur
>les 7 jours du talion
>a tale of two sisters
>noroi the curse
I want to hug Leatherface
Among more recent releases in the genre I've enjoyed The VVitch, It Follows and The Babadook.
