No bluray has been release of it so it's not like you'll ever find anything better than dvd quality.

You need to understand that there are two edits of the film: so called 'Armenian' and 'Yutkevich', each of which survives in varying quality.
The best DVD out there of either is the special edition by Second Sight which is not on PTP.
You can find it on Amazon (UK).
Also, both cuts have recently been restored and shown around the world, so a blu-ray release is imminent.

I should've specified that it's the Yutkevich cut, but it's the most commonly seen version so that's not a problem.
