That explosion in real time might have taken... let's be VERY generous and say 10 seconds. It was probably more like ONE second.
The whole rescue takes, what, 120 second of screen time? Let's round down to 100 second and say time was slowed 10x to 100x.
BUT, HE wasn't moving at walking speed for those 100 seconds. He was moving at a blur.
Oh fuck it, it's too ridiculous. But he was obviously moving many times faster than Mach 5. He moved a couple hundred football field lengths in less than a second. Mach 5 is only 1700 m/s.
