I have never actually played any of the games because I thought they were for kids, but if they all follow the same tone that trailer conveys, then maybe the movie is the hero the horror genera needs

It doesn't look any different from any of the rest, really. Don't know why this one suddenly appeals to you.

Some of the lore of FNAF is neat, but for the most part the gameplay is boring as fuck and the jumpscares get old immediately.

They need to swing the route of deep psychological horror and maybe I'll check it out again.
