Not very. All things considered.
They really just copied everyone's favourite scene from DOFP only fucked it up by making it go on too long and by doing it in such a way it killed any tension of the school blowing up.
Had they shown Jean and Cyclops etc watching the house explode from their car all shocked then they turn and see all the students on the lawn then the film rewinds and shows how Quicksilver saved them all THAT would have been cool.
Instead it's the best part of the movie but Bryan Singer still managed to fuck it up.
