Scooby Doo remains relevant because the characters tap into deeply-embedded cultural archetypes. The characters timelessly adapt themselves to every new decade. The group itself is perfectly crafted. Each one fulfills a unique & necessary role that allows them all to play off each other naturally.
The character designs are also top notch. Instantly classic. They're so enduring that they've remained essentially untouched since their original incarnation.
