I think Jupiter Ascending had some real potential and nice visuals, certainly better than just about every superhero movie nowadays.

Visuals are nice and all, but when you have two terrible actors as the leads(just because they are attractive by hollywoods standards) and try and force them to show emotions like love, you get a bad movie.
Not to mention the overcomplicated plot and multiple characters that don't stand out from eachother.
This movie was absolute trash, and even the Wachowski's knew they were never going to get that kind of budget again. These guys are a 'one and done' kind of talent. Matrix was their one hit wonder, and they even ruined their own badass movie by making 2 bad sequels. They should stop before they embarrass themselves further

A janitor will need some electrical and plumbing training to fully flesh out their maintenance capabilities.
She washed toilets, for rich people, while not being too ethnic to the point that the rich person is leery of her being around their possessions. So she probably hypothetically made more than the average janitor without any training.
Could just as well been a story about an escort being the heir of a galactic empire. Which might have been a lot more interesting and explain why people kept undressing her and dressing her while she was asleep.
the premise of a reincarnated noblewoman of the galaxy is interesting
they really fucked up just about everything else
if it wasn't so fucking goofy, the trilogy could have been
1 jupiter ascending: low class woman discovers she is a reincarnated galactic noblewoman, thwarts plot to deprive her of control over dozens of inhabited planets, discovers the galactic economy's foundation is slavery/harvesting of humans unaware of galactic society
2: kunis liberates the planets she owns, depriving galactic society of harvesting them, informs them of galactic society, galactic forces/aegis attempt to arrest her/seize what they call her property, other rebel forces introduced to story, galactic society/aegis seize earth
3: revolution flick where the good guys beat the bad guys
