Patriot Games is good to get a sense of who Harrison Ford/Jack Ryan is supposed to be, Clear and Present Danger is just hilarious. There Harrison Ford is a befuddled child who keeps getting inexplicably stuck into situations of responsibility. If you watch the movie and read Harrison Ford as a mindless handicapped person who has been launched into a situation by circumstance, it's really fun to watch.
