Nothing. In Europe they don't show Russian movies, and they are outside of the traditional cinema cliques, so looks like there's an embargo on your stuff comrade.

Even among 'movie buffs,' the West's understanding of Russian cinema spans from Battleship Potemkin to Tarkovsky, with Russian Ark and Leviathan thrown on top.
Even the obscure communities of 'cinephiles' never really delve into Russian cinema. They only watch the curiosity pieces some other former SSR states – Georgia, Armenia, ethnographic films of these countries. Just so they can brag about it – not as though they know the history.

Coглaceн, хoтя "Mopфий" тoжe впoлнe хopoш.
I've haven't seen very many and they were very tragic. A few were funny but had some bad stuff like corruption and violence in them (mostly used for comedy). I guess it's the Russian way of making films. They got me listening to Лeнингpaд, Кинo and a few others. Learning more as I go. Cheers.

Try 'Forty-first,' since you seem to like Urusevsky.

Russia has a lot of great comedies, it's just that the humor often doesn't translate well for the foreign audiences. But check out films of Leonid Gaidai if you like slapstick comedies, or Georgiy Daneliya for something with more of fun/tragic feel.
>>70094603
i'll check it out

Wouldn't call it propaganda desu, it's just a war movie.
