It's pretty comfy. You get to meet qt girls, the job is pretty slow and you don't have to work much and you get a pretty good idea of the movies.

Not a huge fan of it, its got some dirty work but at least most of the staff is into movies/tv beyond what is popular.

My last job was at a theater too, and I actually had to deliver food to people (Alamo Drafthouse ripoff, had a microbrewery in the theater). Burnt my hand every fucking time I tried to deliver coffee. Every fucking time.
I nearly aced my interview but they ended up not hiring me, I phoned them back later to ask why and they said that I mixed up the dual horned anvil for a partial cone anvil which was my fault but I'm glad they let me know.

My local cinema laid off 'Peps Pizzao' the cinema clown since Jimmy Carter was in office last year. His antics always brightened my moviegoing experiences. He was a real stand up guy.

I worked at a theater and it was great. One of the very few times I made actual friendships with my coworkers, and didn't hate the place to never want to go there in my off time. If it didn't pay like shit I would probably go back to it.
I'm an oldfag, so it is probably a lot different now, but the projectionist was the job to have other than manager. It was a lot of work to get the reels ready(not like fight club), and making sure they were all running correctly for each movie showing the whole time. But once you get it down, there is plenty of time to just sit on your ass, smoke, play gameboy, whatever. Now that it is all hard drives and shit it must be easy as fuck to just dick around.

My theater is in the middle of a big city so it sucks. Cant even drive home after cause no one drives in the city unless your middle class.
Taking out the trash can be fun if you turn it into a game - see how far away you can stand from the dumpster and throw trash bags in. If you miss, leave it there for someone else to clean it up.

I've been dodging real work for years and getting overtime for doing nothing.
