Remember that Robert wasn't the one who ordered the deaths of Rhaenys and Aegon. Tywin did that on his own because it was practical from a political standpoint that it be done, he needed to show loyalty to the new King, and he knew Robert didn't have the stomach to actually make it happen.
If Robert found out about Cersei and Jaime and the kids he'd execute them. Tywin would get executed too if he was foolish enough to rebel.
Otherwise there'd be no reason to move against the rest of the Lannisters.

I agree. Call me a pleb, but the King's Landing storyline hasn't really done it for me since Tywin died. It's got the more mature narrative of "court intrigue" and actors I guess, but everything is kind of bland which wasn't the case when Bobby B, Ned, Joffrey, Varys, Littlefinger, Tywin, The Hound, Tyrion, Oberyn and so on and so forth.
What those characters all have in common is that either they were like the Starks who we're obviously invested in and fearful for (Sansa applies here) or they were larger than life to an extent, they jumped out at you and you couldn't wait for the next scene to see more developments whether you loved them or hated them.
You can go on about how much of a thespian Jonathan Pryce is or the dame Diana Rigg, or how good Lena is or your Maceposting or Zombie Mountain memes and all. But their scenes (especially whenever Tommen is involved) are extremely boring and unengaging because nothing worthwhile is happening and none of them jump out at you or give you a reason to care. Hell. you can even bring up Jaime, even though he's been nothing but Cersei's lapdog since Season 4 and is basically invisible with how much he's regressed.
The North is the central storyline now and while the actors there aren't great, at lesst they're having fun and moving the storyline along which wasn't the case in the seasons King's Landing reigned surpreme. The North is carrying this show on it's shoulders right now and outside of Bran it's not even featured next week, so it will be pretty lacklustre. King's Landing will too until Cersei wrecks the Faith and the Tyrells with Wildfire.
But at least we have Uncle Benjen returning next week. And a couple days later Witcher 3: Blood and Wine comes out, so I can handle a mostly fuckingnothing ep.
