Around the time Toy Story 2 came out, a radio announcer in my area made a joke about how he couldn't wait to take his kids to see Toy Story 7 in a few years.

I made fun of him because it seemed like they were gonna just stop at 2. Then 3 came out. Now this?

True, Cars has at least a few tens of millions just from merch. I doubt Toy Story merch revenue comes close to that even if you count the entire franchise. Cars will probably make more money in the long run while Toy Story 4 probably won't touch 3's numbers.
