Are there any other decent Abbostralian movies?

Romper Stomper
Wake in Fright
Walkabout
Bad Boy Bubby
Samson and Delilah
Snowtown
Aus movies are pretty shit to be honest. Anything shot by Arkapaw is decent to look at though.
Australian here. Been on a binge lately. Can confirm our movies are mostly shit.
Pure Shit (1975) is pretty good. There's a decent torrent out there. Like no seeders but it downloaded eventually.
Hercules Returns (1993) is great, although the premise makes it perhaps not entirely an Australian film. Don't read up the synopsis, trust me. Go in blind. (It's a comedy, btw)
Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975) is one of the best, IMHO.
Also try Malcolm (1986).
Stork (1971) makes no sense but it's fairly fun to watch if you can switch off and appreciate the times. Again, dodgy torrent.

Chopper (2000) is fairly underrated. Well worth a watch.
Avoid 2:37 (2006).
Bad Boy Bubby, as >>70002873 mentioned, is great. One of the best. I actually worked in a video shop in a building you can see in one shot. Just last year the owner of the shop organised a binaural screening of BBB with the original director and sound recordist in attendance. It was fantastic.

Bad Boy Bubby is one of my favourite movies of all time. Other than mentioned before - Son of a Gun was pretty decent.
Kokoda (2006) was alright, had some excellent jungle firefight scenes
