Singer needs more money to pay for boy pussy and to pay his criminal defense lawyers. He's more of a hack than Lucas and Peter Jackson put together and shouldn't be allowed to make anything anymore. The only reason he does is because he more than likely supplies big Hollywood execs with said boypussy. That and to keep Marvel Studios from getting the rights back and to keep from being completely shamed when they effortlessly make a good X-Men movie.
The series should have been taken away from him since the start.
Worst part was there was decades of X-men stories to work with, amazing stories that would have worked well on the big screen.But no, he went with an original origin story that fucked with the characters (and ruined a few with bad casting).

Brotherhood of Evil Mutants
Rogue going from villain to X-men member
Moorlocks and the Mutant Massacre
Original X-men leave the team and become X-Factor.
Fall of the Mutants
Inferno
X-tinction Agenda
Lots of great small stories inbetween, like when the X-men come back from the siege perilous.
Get someone to get the series back to the roots and maybe people will start going to see the movies again.

Having grown up only really being familiar with Singer's X-Men I was fucking amazed reading the actual X-Men comics. Compared to them his movies literally have no depth and are so fucking boring. The irony that a boy fucking faggot (no offense to the gays) was too embarrassed/ashamed to do an actual adaptation of the X-Men is beyond ridiculous.

It was a humble admission of his past mistakes, but also an unwitting premonition of the reception to the film itself. In a way, it kind of saves the movie a bit, as it knows that it's the worst in the First Class trilogy. OR, it could have been set up to go against it, thinking that Apocalypse is in fact the best of the trilogy and that "the 3rd one's always the worst", is false.

This is why Marvel succeeds where others fail. If you can't commit to the source material, don't try adapting it at all. Superman and Batman should not be religious allegory. X-Men should not be monochromatic, gritty action movies. Fantastic 4 should not be serious and realistic. Its pretty simple.
