This entire episode felt like a fucking psychotic fever dream. It did good at making you get into some characters' heads, but it wasn't good in terms of actually conveying what they wanted to. Style over substance.
Also pretty much a ripoff of original Walking Dead's season 2, except in two episodes and without whining and looking constantly over some kid who's obviously dead

The boat set is gone for later this series. I don't know what its replaced with, but they aren't going back to the boar for the last half of this season.

>Shit goes down, have to escape while the place is on fire

>Find a new home that seems very promising
>Person who runs the place wants everyone to leave after one of the group members kills a zombie
>Turns out the person running the place has a hidden stash of zombies
>The kid of the main man is a fuck up
>Ends with the place being burnt up and everyone getting separated
this is actually the first episode that i genuinely enjoyed, albeit to a lesser degree than TWD.
for the first time the characters seem to be believably unhinged and affected by the chaos of the apocalypse, and are making emotional decisions that carry real weight and consequence.
I especially enjoyed Chris and Travis' struggle, as well as Daniel's mental breakdown. We should have seen his flashbacks WAY fucking earlier in the series.
Overall though, the madness is ratcheting up in fun and captivating ways. Nick's casual approach to walking around drenched in blood is cool, and Chris' behavior is believable imo; he's just some immature, unstable idiot of the type that would generally fuck things up in this kind of situation.
It was interesting to watch each of the parents try to "protect" their kid(s) in their own ways; Travis leaving with Chris, Daniel burning the walkers, Celia keeping zombie Luis. It's a theme that isn't too on-the-nose like this show can be; i wish this show had been this strong from the beginning.
I get the sense that it's written by a panel of writers taking turns throwing ideas at the board for each episode, and only 1-2 people in the rotation have any talent. The show is horribly un-even, but this episode had some weight to it.
