Episode was good.
Ending sequence was amazing, you can't even deny that shit the shot of the undead crawling through the tunnel and Leaf getting stabbed the fuck up, and then finally the Hodor revelation, all great.

It had the opposite effect to me.
The shows tension was not knowing what would happen next, character being killed off and you're left wondering who will salvage it, more 'bad' guys than 'good' guys, there's a threat incoming etc.
With this time travel stuff, if it goes down that road is good for it puts you at ease a bit, a bit safer to just enjoy the show.
Killing off characters for shock and story has lost its effect a while back. We've become indifferent to it, now the tension is about what really happened and how we will get closure.
It's a nice change of pace.
