Christmas and the original Family Vacation are the best. European is less consistent but still has it's moments. Vegas is idiotic save for one or two funny parts.
I saw the Walley World one first so that one will always be my benchmark Vacation movie. The European one was pretty good though had some classic scenes.

Just dont confuse old lampoon with the new garbage. The old shit with chevy chase is some of the best comedy movies you will ever see.
