Yeah it's not going to be very good.
He's pretty good but I feel like Joe Wright could have been a good fit for this.

What a cocky faggot thinking he'll do Kubrick justice
Fuck him
>people actually thinking it won't be fucking shit
You never cease to make me laugh, /tv/
Don't ever change
Spielberg's been attempting to produce this for years
Fukanaga did an excellent job with Beasts of No Nation and BBC's War & Peace was incredible so theoretically it can be done
I have high hopes depending on the cast
At one point while working on the script Kubrick wrote up a notecard documenting where Napoleon was, what he was doing, notable events, etc. for literally EVERY SINGLE DAY of Napoleon's life which he scattered throughout his house. In addition to this 20,000 or whatever notecards he had amassed a collection of more than 17,000 slides of imagery from the Napoleonic era that he would scroll through for hours on end.
If you're not at this level of commitment to a visionary like Kubrick's work then you really need to fuck right off.
How much you bet they'll make Alexandre Dumas Sr an important character just to have a black on the cast ?

Why specifically do you think this?

Sounds great.

was it autism?
Fukanaga is overrated.
>>69784192
I feel like only Fincher would be autistic enough about detail to do all of that

>True Detective season 1
Of course he knows what he's doing, anon!
