It's really gritty, grim-dark movie...
If world was not such a fucking dark place in our era , this movie would be delight to watch,
as it is, it made me even more heartless and despaired .
Watch it but have a season of Senfield in backup to watcg after so it can bring you back.
As far as if it is good, considering other new crime movies we have to watch , its probably best out there , but its not near any classic.
Last film you could compare it with was Sicarrio(Sic was much better).

It's really well shot.
Which is sort of the problem;
Hillcoat is a great director. He's had some flops. So he's gotta take pay day work.
So he gets this giant pile of shit 90's Tarantino Rip Off Tier script - and he attracts a great cast - and he shoots it extremely well.
But...
It's still a dog shit script.
So what's the point?

The script is straight out of the mid to late 90's post Pulp Fiction era when every man and his dog was writing shitty crime scripts we Le Clever Dialgoue and multiple characters and needlessly convoluted plots.
You know, like 2 Days In The Valley or Thursday or Things To Do In Denver When You're Dead etc etc.
