There was nothing good about Batman vs Superman, there is no competition because there's nothing for Civil War to go up against with BvS.

BvS was a compilation of unedited unnecessary scenes with shit dialouge just scrunched together. Casting was shit minus Affleck and Cavill.

This is from someone whose always preferred the darker DC side in all media. Captain America Civil War, I was excited all the way through, and I was thinking about the flick after I saw it.

BvS was so fucking forgettable and shit, it's saddening. And I really liked Man of Steel.

Even funnier is it succeeded in doing the exact thing Batman v Superman couldn't. It was the cinematic equivalent of kicking an unfinished sand castle that was almost done.

One was trying too hard to be intelectual but fall flat on it's face, which is something i can expect from Snyder.

Both were really crap

Shockingly enough BvS ended up making more sense than civil war as bizarre as that sounds .
Civil was just a cluster fuck of guest appearances and nonsensical plots left over from the original script

I hated lex...until I saw Zemo and then suddenly he didn't seem so bad.

Why not just mail Iron Man the information about his parents being killed ??

Marvel has shit villains and Zemo was the worst of them all

Ant man was cool though
>>
>>69742752
>Civil War
I expected to see good action scenes. I expected to heard quips. I was hoping that the airport scene would be decent. I was hoping that Spiderman wouldn't suck.

Overall I was happy with the movie.

>BvsS
I hated their choice for Wonder Woman, and I was hoping that I would be wrong. I hated their choice for Luthor and I was hoping that I would be wrong. I enjoyed the animated movie The Dark Knight Returns and I was expecting something similar in the movie (until the trailer spoiled the Doomsday appearance). I enjoyed MoS so I knew what to expect from Cavil. I was expecting Batfleck to be pretty good.

Overall, the movie was ok. It didn't flow well in my opinion. As much as I hated the casting of Gadot, Eisenburg was *horrible*. I also didn't like the Flash scene: He looked ridiculous, and why did they make it appear to be a dream? Also, did they explain in the movie why Wayne had the dream about Darkseid's army?

Civil War was better by a wide margin.
>>
>>69742752

BVS was superior. Civil War was underwhelming and the whole conflict between Cap and IM got resolved over a letter. The focus wasn't even the superhero registration act, and Zemo's plan was weak as shit.
>>
>>69743419
>why not just mail Iron Man the information about his parents being killed ??

>Marvel has shit villains and Zemo was the worst of them all
not even close, at least Zemo had a relatable motivation unlike the villian from any DC film except maybe ras al gul from batman begins

also how the fuck can you say BvS is more coherent? Fucking hell during the entire thing superman never even says one word to Diana during the entire film. And at the end it made literally zero sense why superman decided to fight batman.

>Newly christened as Superman, Clark Kent sets out to serve the world in his own way despite being disheartened by the planet's reception of him. Embittered by the loss of his loved ones and the futility of his crusade, Bruce Wayne vows to destroy the potential threat to humanity known as Superman. Meanwhile the enigmatic Lex Luthor manipulates the the two heroes to conflict along with creating his own weapon against the Man of Steel.

Are you literally 13 years old?
>>
>>69743893

Yes, that was better. Considering they didn't know each other and Bruce's trauma with his parents this served a much better purpose as a stop sign for the battle.

The conflict in Civil War was handled in the last 15 minutes and it was over something that could've happened even if Zemo didn't interfere. It was superficial and the fact Tony reads the letter and doesn't crush it or show any signs of being infuriated by it is more indicative that it did make amends rather than antagonizing them more.

The registration act was something that tested the very fiber of their being, with IM becoming more authoritative and shit. It was going to create a deeper conflict than MyParentsGotBucky'd.avi.

A movie about the registration act wouldn't have to be in a courtroom. It would be more akin to an Empire vs Resistance kind of thing, and much more suitable for something called Civil War, man.

Yeah, the end of Civil War felt like Joss Whedons directing and script.

They're best friends again at the end of the movie. IM should have done something like you said. Even if he threw that box in the air and a glove few on his hand and he blew it up or some shit.

Instead it's "everyone is friends again hehe". No doubt Marvel interfered with Russos. Especially since this was essentially an Avengers movie.
>>
>>69744361
>It was superficial and the fact Tony reads the letter and doesn't crush it or show any signs of being infuriated
I feel the same. Movie was a solid 7 until that ending.
But i hope it just meant that Tony was only tired, that would be the reason of why he didn't go to the Raft to fight all of them.
Anyway, i'm happy i didn't pay to see it.

Yep. Obvious Civil War pretty much took the cake this round. Our contrarian king has spoken. Civil War is far better than BvS.
>>
BvS was messy, poorly edited and rushed. There is the kernel of a great film within it, but it was let down by trying to cram too many plot elements into it, even if some of the scenes and dialogue were superb. If it had been done in two parts or maybe if some bits had been introduced in prequels, then it might have worked better. I get the impression that Snyder has a huge, epic, director's cut version coming which could be a genuine masterpiece.

Civil War was actually a disappointment. MCU usually deliver very solid, if uninspired, pieces. But CW was dull. The plot was never really tackled in a meaningful way because they were too busy trying to work all of the characters in. The whole Bucky storyline (continued from WS) was hamfisted. For me, it really struggled. Something was missing. Maybe the (supposed) seriousness of the plot cast a pall over it that destroyed any chemistry between the cast. Even the quips were irksome.

Of the two, I think I enjoyed BvS more. I felt that, thematically, it had more meat. There was more to think about. CW was just a big disappointment - it frustrated me the entire way through.

>>69743698
>then he'd get to chance to think it over and not try and kill cap and bucky

Zemo had no way of knowing they'd be the ones showing up to stop him - those specific three. You can backtrack from there to a vast array of circumstances he had no control over that all influence his "big reveal" having any effect whatsoever, not the least of which is whether Rogers had already shared with Stark what he already knew about Hydra's involvement with the Starks' deaths.

For his plot to work as presented, Zemo has to be an omniscient, precognitive chessmaster moving all the pieces through the means of vast resources it's never even hinted he has. If you want to make that case, be my guest. Just don't expect any of it to ever be revisited in the MCU.

I'm not surprised. After all, their idols are Peyton Reed and Joss Whedon.

Seeing an alpha male like Zack Snyder causes them to remember how they were bullied by an alpha male and uncomfortable and lash out the only way they know how -impotently typing out hateful words on a Japanese jpeg board. Some, like Ant-Man director Peyton Reed when shown a statement from a capeflick rumor monger saying "DC directors can physically beat up Marvel directors," choose to withdraw into safe spaces instead. Snyder directs in sweatpants and Under Armour wristbands.

If that's not badass I don't know what is. Nerds can't stand that an alpha auteur is in control of their products, and he's elevating them to heights their puny brains can't comprehend. They can't stand that someone who appears on the outside as a manchild with a comic book fetish, is pushing the medium further than they thought possible.

Snyder, Affleck, and Cavill get the bitches and gays all juicy. They are just ripe with raw sexual energy. This offends the virginal fanboi. MoS and BvS deal with emotional issues and belief systems in a mature way. This doubly offends the fanboi, who is stuck in perpetual adolescence. They can't process or register mature emotions. And people hate what they don't understand.
