There's also the fact that Cap wasn't directly responsible for completely destroying a city, leaving all of its citizens homeless and with no jobs or possessions. Tony has good reason to feel guilty. He doesn't have much of a reason to act like the whole team should answer for that, though. Wanda made a mistake, but Tony, Banner, and Thor are really the only ones who have consistently done more harm than good.

Ok yeah I can agree with you on that part. I guess it's the way he was acting towards the end just got less sensible.In particular it bothered me that he just left the rest of the avengers in prison at the end so Cap America could conveniently rescue them.
But maybe it's just that I like Iron Man as a character more than Cap America, and it bothered me that he basically turned into the bad guy.

I'm not talking about the damage they fail to prevent. I'm talking about the damage they actually cause themselves. Age of Ultron wouldn't have happened at all if not for Tony and Banner. And, no it's not even that Tony wants to save everyone and Cap knows that you can't save everyone. Tony was just ready to blow up the city with everyone still in it in Age of Ultron. The other members of the team were the ones who stopped him. Thor just shows up, fights his enemies on Earth, and then leaves with a huge smile. He doesn't even give a fuck. And that's just the destruction he's caused on Earth. Trusting the fucking God of Deceit twice has had some pretty terrible consequences in Asgard too. He's the worst hero. And Hulk can't even be considered a hero, really. Those guys are the real problem. But Tony is just fine with letting the whole team take the blame.
