Yes, the despecialized editions are a fan man reconstuction of the film as i was first shown. They use about 4-5 sources and try to splice in the best ones, as they do not have access to the masters.
Of course, Disney might just sell the old movies on blue ray without the additions at some point too. they leave the recomposited shots alone unless it altered the actual movie.
