Movie wasn't awful until the ending. The fuck were they thinking? All of that buildup and tension just evaporated with training montages and a cgi shitfest subpar battle sequence.

Yeah, everything leading up to the technology is great, once they go back through the thing to home it turns to mediocre shit.
I guess I just want a movie about people doing science or building something without a bunch of shit getting in the way like plot tropes based on conflict.

It's a baffling film.
They build up these character arcs and plot threads up until Reed returns, then just drop all of it, throw in a Dr Doom with zero motivation other than destroy Earth for more green stuff and kill him 10 minutes later in an underwhelming CGI shitfest. I don't even remember if Doom talks.
First half wasn't perfect, but it was serviceable. The second half was a sudden trainwreck.

Because they haven't learned that we are sick of origin stories, especially when we had one within the last decade already.
The origin should have happened with the first 20 minutes, then spend the rest on doing actual F4 shit.

Outside of the fact that the ending was horrendous and made no sense, there were some legitimately incredible shots for this movie. (Granted the editing was shit at times)

This is single scene was better than 90% a majority of capekino we've been getting. It made Doom seem threatening and you actually see the villain in a menacing tone rather than just being a "Quip-Machine" to match with the heroes.
