Dagmer is an Ironborn. "Paying the Iron Price" is supposed to refer to obtaining goods by taking them from their owners' corpses, which is seen as a positive thing in Ironborn culture. D&D fuck up in the show though and have Dagmer refer to being executed as "paying the iron price".
