The more someone tried to construct or tell a story the more he didnt like and when someone would show the most simple, abstract work that probably had the least amount of thought put into it he would call it a masterpiece. I wrote a paper in another class ranting against one of his films before i had him as a teacher and the professor chewed me out and told me it was a shit paper even though i was just voicing the fact that i was extremely fucking uncoformatble watching the same static shot of the woods for 70 fucking minutes.
In the end though he did kind of convince me that anyone should be allowed to try whatever they want with a camera. Im still very mixed about the experience.
