You first, fatty
It's not so good, if it wasn't lesbians it wouldn't have received even close to the same acclaim, it was a movie made at the right time
It's a movie which should be a standard 90 minute by the numbers lesbian love story. Except it's got explicit sex scenes and it goes for 3 fucking hours. Other than that there's nothing special about it.
The performances are ok but not Palme d'or level. It's a meh story that got heaps of publicity thanks to the sex scenes.
The most praiseworthy part of it I though was it didn't have the cliche "I have no daughter!!" Scene where her parents find out. But then I discovered that the movie actually DID have this and they deleted it because the movie ran too long. So now the protagonists parents just disappear in the second half of the film.
Watch it to see James Bond's wife eating pussy and getting her ass eaten out. That's it.

The Japanese lesbian drama Aoi Hana has a scene where a girl brings her girlfriend home, and her family is kind of dismissive about it. They seem to think she's just trying to get attention and going through a phase.
French cinema hasn't been good since the 70s. Stick to r/movies, children.
