What are some of the lesser known horror movies that really made a mark on you guys? I am trying to find a ton that hit new boundaries in the genre, need some recommendations.
Also I know frankenstein isn't unknown, I don't really know any unpopular movies.
Night of the Demon/Curse of the Demon is one of my favorites.
Dead and Buried
Let's Scare Jessica to Death
Don't Look Now
The Haunting of Julia
The Changeling
Nosferatu The Vampyre
The Tenant

Seconding this, great movie.
"Ravenous" is borderline horror-comedy, which isn't usually my thing, but it's pretty great. There are at least a couple of truly scary scenes.

I Walked With a Zombie is a good one. Tons of atmosphere.
Dario Argento's films shouldn't be lesser known to horror fans, but if you haven't seen them, check out Suspiria.
