Legit though not all orcs were evil, even Tolkien said so. So no, letting in some Orcs would not necessarily be bad. Most of them were just brainwashed by Sauron anyway, but if they lived in Gondor they would start to assimilate.

Yes, it's the men's duty to do so. They say they have certain values but then poor orcfugees want to better their lives and come live with them in peace and suddenly men throw those values out the window and start a hated-filed anti-orc crusade.

Orc violence is caused only by poverty and systemic Gondorian racism. A breeding program between orcs and the women of Gondor must be implemented immediately and the men of Gondor have to be disarmed to prevent more racism and cisgondor oppression.

Am I the only one who hates Theoden for this? Gondor had been fighting a war non-stop for many years, their southern border constantly threatened by Haradrims and Mordor's armies, while he was doing jackshit besides fending off a few raids from those hill tribes. Then he lets himself be possessed by Saruman.

Also there isn't the stupid subplot with Denethor not being wanting to light the beacons. In fact he has done so before Gandalf even arrives in Minas Tirith.
