Half Blow-Up
Half The Conversation
Half as good as either

Accurate.

It's a masterpiece

How the fuck do you all know this much about movies this forgettable? I don't even remember if I've seen this movie or not. That's how forgettable it is.
>>
>tfw 2016 and directors aren't even trying to paint their movies anymore

Half as memorable, sure, but even on a bad day Brian de Palma is still the last living director who can pull off the EC comics/Bava light kit.
>>
I like all three. Blow Out is just an entirely different kind of movie.
>>
>>69161676

Best process shot in the history of film at the end. The rotating camera with the fireworks.

kek

That's unfortunate because I like both of those older movies. I wanted to watch this and at least get some silly/entertaining moments from it, maybe like Face Off, or something.
>>
>>69164414
You should watch it. OP is nonsense.
>>
>>69164606
Alright, I'll check it out.

I have a somewhat irrational dislike for Travolta when he's trying to play a role straight but I do like it when directors exploit him a little bit like Pulp Fiction or Face Off. If he's totally clueless, like Battlefield Earth, he can also be very entertaining.
>>
its really good though
>>

You'll like it. It's still a good movie. I do think it has some flaws, but it's still entertaining. I think Nancy Allen kind of sucks in it, and I can't stand that guy with the Brooklyn accent. I don't remember his name, but I hated him in Dressed to Kill too. I agree with this guy >>69163900 however.

Things were looking good until that damn orchestra swell after that car went into the river.

I'll still watch the rest but I gotta go to bed.

What a strange comment.

Brian De Palma had such a great hot-streak from the 80's-90's. Even his lesser works like Snake Eyes had moments of De Palma style and excellence that could let you overlook the bizarre plotting and questionable acting.

Shame he got old. Passion was embarrassingly bad, it felt like De Palma trying to do Verhoeven and failing horribly.

Careful there lad.

and yet still fucking great
