So did they intentionally recreate Darmok and Jalad meeting on Tanagra just to test if their new allies were worth shit?

Other than not titling this thread "Star Trek General" so that all the Star Trek General posters could easily find it in the catalog, what reason do you have to label this thread as shitposting?
Mercenary, the masketta man
Picard, when the septic tank failed
Friendly reminder that Dukat did nothing wrong.

Partly I think. They didn't mean for the accident to happen to get Picard and the other guy stuck there together. They're so intrenched in their metaphors, it's probably very difficult to communicate otherwise. Though you'd think that they would still put for the effort to effectively communicate with everyone else instead of expect everyone else to understand their metaphors without an effective way to even learn the metaphors. Everyone else basically has to decipher their history just to figure out what the hell they're saying.

How do you make a spaceship that runs on metaphors?pretty good episode though

how the fuck do you make a spaceship that runs on a 26 letter alphabet

They must have been a proud and romantic people, speaking all in metaphor and all. They probably saw Humans as possibly worthy of dealing with finally, so they did a test. In the end we passed the test, but the only one to know was the now mauled-to-death captain and Picard. When they beamed Picard up, he knew he passed the test for all mankind, he showed them what all men were capable of. But he chose not to tell anyone, he just had a smug retrospective quip. That's how alpha Picard was.
I used to think that an alien race that communicates entirely in memes was outlandish
Then 4chan came along

It always really pissed me off what Picard's crew did in this episode
Picard and Dathon have finally gotten to the monster and are in the middle of an intense fight when suddenly they spent two straight minutes trying to beam him out, while meanwhile in the background Dathon is getting his ass handed to him
Nobody even references the fact that Picard's crew is responsible for Dathon's death

to be fair they had no idea what the fuck was going on. All they knew was their Captain was stuck on a random planet, so naturally their first priority was to save him.
>>69078301
The Enterprise crew had no idea what was going on. If you want to play the blame game, Dathon shouldn't have abducted Picard while the Enterprise crew has no idea what is going on.
I was there when the walls fell

How old is this episode? 25 years or so? It has been posted many times before and will be posted many times more. So say we all.

I'm not sure you understand. I mean he spammed the thread over and over as a joke and would make a new one whenever the mods/hotpockets deleted the old one
it wasn't supposed to be a discussion of the episode
>>69078854
>whenever the mods/hotpockets deleted the old one
Whenever the walls fell, you mean.
