Personally, he got the parts that Mcguire and Garfield had done right without their respective flaws, I'm really looking forward to his solo

also, plothole maybe? Spidey says he doesn't have a computer, but later in the airport fight when they we're fighting he screams "NEVER SHOULD HAVE COME HERE"

Switch Holland and Maguire and you're set.

I've watched the entire airport fight since I downloaded it last week, and he never says this

Raimi suit was better.

Mcguire is still the best Petter

Garfield had a great spidey but Holland's is even better

>“From the second we had the idea to do the story of ‘Civil War,’ Spider-Man was a part of the story. It was a very complicated business arrangement for Marvel Studios to be able to use Spider-Man from Sony. So, we were always told by Marvel, ‘Don’t count on it, you may not get to use Spider-Man, so you better have a plan B.’ And we were like, ‘Okay, we get it, we have a plan B if don’t get Spider-Man; we’ll figure the movie out.’ But the truth is, we never had a plan B. We only have envisioned the movie with Spider-Man. He was always a part of the story. It was very important to us to reintroduce the character.”
-Anthony Russo

>He was always an integral part of the story.

Nothing changes if he's taken out of the movie.
>>
>>69063760
Raimi's suit was the manliest suit, it was great at times.

AS2 had a great suit too because it mirrored the comics much better.

AS1 suit is shit

I don't think we should form consensus until Homecoming.

Do you really think everyone on /tv/ is going to agree on this?

Do you really need people to tell you what to think and what the final consensus is?

>I can't like this Spiderman unless the consensus on /tv/ is that he is good!
>>
>>69064000
Just have him fall when War Machine and Iron Man do the double upper cut.
>>
>>69063956
Everybody, EVERYBODY, from my mom to my second toothless cousin, know very well how Peter Parker got his powers. Same with Batman. We don't need origin stories nor references to the spider bite and the parent killing any fucking more. It's pop culture, it's everywhere.
>>
Iron Mans team is doing fucking bad WITH Spider-Man

They would be REKT without him
>>
>>69063956
Everyone knows his fucking back story. We didn't need him to go over how it happened again.
It was literally fine the way it was.
>>
>>69063621
The suit would look infinitely better if they got rid of those black chevrons on his arms and all the weird lines. The eyes are perfect though. Is explained how he gets the suit in this movie?
>>
>>69063956

He was about to and Tony cut him off. It wasn't important, all that was important was getting another guy on the team.

Everyone and their dog knows the origin of Spiderman and I'm sure we'll get something in Homecoming about it.

>>
>>69064114
Spidey wore a shitty camera lensed suit, but Tony gave him a suit in less than 10 hours so it wasnt as perfect
>>
>>69064070
And?
That doesn't change how personal interactions go.
If you and I were talking about how I broke my arm, and you knew how it happened, I wouldn't say
>ever since... Anyway blah blah blah
I would say
>ever since I fell out of that tree

It's just to make sure we're on the same page.
They just overcompensated, and that's fine. But it felt weird.
>>
>>69064158
Why does Tony (and the audience)need to hear about Spidey's whole story in a Captain America movie?
>>
>>69064158
Parker said "its a long story"

if you want to shorten the fucking story the same way with your tree analogy he would jsut say

"A spider bit me"

Tony would aks "HOW"

"Its a long story lmao"
>>
>>69064158

He is about to tell Tony and is cut off by him.

Basically your retarded conversation has been anticipated and has been answered in the film while gently mocking you.
>>
>>69063621
Decent.

His airport fight dialogue was shit most of the time though. Yes, I know he's supposed to quip, but it's how well written they are (or lack of in CW's case).
>>
>people complaining about fucking spider-mans origin

kill yourself
>>
>>69064198
It literally would have taken 2 seconds to let Parker finish his sentence.
It was a nod to the current state of Spiderman where the story has been done to death.
But in 20 years when this generation is showing the MU series to their kids, they'll be confused as to why he didn't say anything about it.

Its relevance as a joke or idea is limited.

What the fuck are you on about? in 20 years countless of Spiderman movies have already come out, if they want answers they'd watch that shit.

Again, why do we need to hear everything about Spidey in a captain america movie?

>>69064363

Anon, I said all it needed was one sentence.
>Ever since I got bitten, I've had these powers
95% of that line is already in the movie.
>>
>>69063643
I love the Raimi films but Holland was much better than Maguire
>>
>>69064344
Someone's comic won't be adapted into a screenplay.
>>
>>69064442
>Kids get confused easily
I didn't. When I was a kid, I read Spider-Man comics. There were no fucking movies. I read the comics, I knew who he was, there was nothing confusing about it. Learned to read on those things.
>>

>>
>>69064298
Can't you just show the Raimi films first to them

Most people don't read comics, but they know those movies
>>
>>69063839
He didn't say Spidey was integral to the plot, just that they couldn't envision a Civil War story without Spider-Man.
>>
>>69064583
again, why do we need an explanation from a Captain America movie?

I don;t get why people would get confused at all, everyone would recognize who Spider-man is, everyone knows what he can do, Parker clearly stated that 'its a long story', watching CW, you'd be invested in the actual accord shit, not on Spider-man's origin in a Captain America film
>>
Him not finishing the sentence is the joke because everybody fucking knows how he became Spider-Man

>I was uhh...

I thought he was a brilliant portrayal.

Not sure how it's gonna work when he has to carry his own movie, although Ironman there will help too

He was telling him. That's what makes the scene so great. We as the audience know about Uncle Ben so when you're looking at Peter during his explanation we know what he's not telling Tony Stark.

on another note, Vision was worthless in the airport fight

I feel we didn't get enough of Peter Parker to really say who's the best.

During combat and his interactions with his opponents, he's literally the perfect spiderman: Quippy, Overconfident, badass, and inexperienced. Reminded me of ultimate spidey.

So far MCU spidey is great, but I have doubts about his solo movie.

I thought it was great but I don't think it was either Mcguire or Garfield's fault their version wasn't. They played it well but this was closer to the way the character was supposed to be written.

His Spider Sense was lacking tho, he dodged stuff only sometimes (early in the fight, inside the airport), maybe they could've gone deeper into it.

So far, he's really good as a Spider-man just starting out. He's easing into his wise-cracking persona, and he's definitely built like he should be (compared to the weirdly stocky and square Maguire Spidey). And his Peter Parker works for a dorky school kid, too. To me, he was the highlight of the film.
>>
