It's in my opinion a terrible mix of music and storytelling.
Sometimes the story itself is fine, but gets muddled with the ALRIGHT NOW IT'S TIME FOR A SONG FOR 5 MINUTES EVERYONE.
What's even the appeal of stopping the action with songs? Every time I had to watch some form of musical I just feel like that precious time wasted with singing and dancing is an empty space.
