all these numerous threads about Thrones and superheroes has me bummed so here's one about an actual movie.
Upstream Color is one of my top films from the past few years. i like how it tells its story through a symphony of visuals, music, and dialogue. while at times, the film may seem not to cohere to narrative logic, this works to the film's benefit and viewers are rewarded after a second or multiple viewings. it's not a difficult film, per se, but the way the story is presented can be somewhat confusing, wonderfully so.
