The Rod Liddle bit was the first time in all my years watching Stew that made me think, "Oh come on, you're not doing this for ten minutes are you?"
But then I have a severe and intense hatred for people who make unnecessary noise when they eat, so I'm biased in that regard. His punchline "Every time you look at your watch..." was almost worth it, and the continued noise after that and over the credits was funny as I'm a sucker for commitment to the bit, but having to hear that sound in the first place was torture.

I hate Stewart Lee but it's generally fruitless to criticise him since a large part of his act is dedicated toward specifically elaborating on why he is a terrible, pandering liberal with nothing of interest to say who is past his best.
