Who's your favourite captain?
Best Captain.

>>69020025
i really wish that, instead of the borg, UPN had made Voyager try to boast its rating by appealing to the stoner-star trek fan subset. Like they could have had an episode where the Doctor gets on Harry's case because he is smoking to much, but then the Harry writes a subroutine that allows the Doctor to smoke the space chronic. Or maybe they could have one where Kim tries to build a weed drive for the ship, but he fucks up and creates a sentient weed smoke cloud that traps Voyager. In another episode, Janeway is totally being a narc bitch because she doesn't like Kim, Paris, and Chakotay hot-boxing in the Delta Flyer.
>>69017833
But you posted him already.
Sisko the rest are sjw memecucks except for Kirk yes even Chris pines jjkirk
>>69020107
Or they could have a erotic scene between janeway and another female in every episode. Maybe even Janeway abusing her powers to force others to fuck her. Could be character development and shit.
Kirk > Picard > Sisko > Archer >>>>>>>>>>>>> Janeway
I like them all but Janeway. Archer started off bad but got badass in the third season.
>>69020059
I never understood why they elected the least rational, most temperamental crewmember as captain. Aeryn should have been captain, she's tough but pragmatic and thinks before she acts.
Although you could easily make the argument that the "captain" position was purely ornamental and they were just throwing D'Argo a bone.
The only captain better than Archer is MIrror Archer's motivation delusion of Prime Archer
>>69020270
>having Janeway below place 3
muh so jinyBut really, she wasn't that bad, she made some dumb decisions but Archer and Sisko were worse in my opinion. Mainly because they were so forgettable I harly remember anything from them.
>>69020270
Picard is likable but no way is he a better captain than Sisko. Jean-Luc spends way too much time philosophizing and contemplating when the necessary solution is plainly obvious. He also prefers to bend over and take it from any enemy rather than risk a confrontation. Without plot armor he would have gotten his crew killed and ship destroyed by the end of the first season.

You actually expect the unwashed uncultured plebs from /tv/ to get that? Good choice btw.

Dont be so sure that it will never return, we live in a time when all previously popular IPs are returning to the screen, who's to know when Babylon 5 will be rebooted?
You also read it all in my voice.
B5 Dukhat = best Dukhat. Fuck Cardies.

Shit has a 9+ rating on IMDB and I couldn't get through more than two episodes.
So fucking overrated, that show.
>>69023184
Well maybe. JMS is into some capeshit business and Sense8 is doing well and it needs JMS.
BTW if B5 would air today (including trans-gender/species Delain) people here would get butt-blasted.
>>69023184
The space elves were the worst thing about B5, while the Cardies were the best thing about DS9

You mean Ferengi.
Also, like it or not space elves (Minbari) and space felines (Dilgar) belong to SciFi.

>>69023462
>Ferengi
Hmm, you may be right. Quark, Brunt, Zek, Nog in the later seasons
Even so the Cardassian-related storylines were much more interesting, although I will say Little Green Men is one of my favorite episodes
>>69017833
I've never seen an episode actually, I've seen a minute or so after The Simpsons was done on UPN 44 of...I want to say Deep Space Nine but it was probably The Next Genreation.
but clearly the classic was best, with Captain Kirk. Old things > new things. That's never been disputed by anyone.

every 90s scifi sin: the series
>>69025727
The original series is seriously dated, and the best acting comes from the main three. And even then, Shatner has some of the most over the top moments of any Star Trek captain in the series. Only Sisko comes close.
There were a lot of episodes that were more fantastical than they were science fiction and it's not to say that it wasn't a great show, but to say it's without a thought better than TNG is just your own opinion wrapped in it's own personal warp bubble.
But your posts don't emit much intelligence anyways.
>>69017833
Picard or kirk. I mean the options are limited. They were the captain of the flag ship. They were meant to be the best of the generation.

Why does Star Trek insist on episodes surrounding children and childhood when they always fail at it? The episode where the kid mimics Data is one of the best ones, and it's still subpar.

Because it would reign his shit in since he was responsible for other people. Also, would you be able to put up with his ass if he DIDN'T get to be captain? He also never does anything with the title. They already blew through his muh wife and son story line, so he had nothing to do.
