Try watching DBZ past the original when Goku was a kid and the end of the Frieza saga, DBZ is horrible mundane shit that is literally baiting for more episodes with unintelligible power levels and terrible character development. Like when Goku SS3 runs away from superboo and superboo should be weaker than him (because kb >> sb as stated by the kais)
SS3 Goku also depletes his stamina and loses badly to Kid Buu but before that he was able to go toe to toe with him at SS2 level so what happened? And Vegeta, despite being a stronger SS2 than Goku got curbstomped very fast (though he was saving his ki to withstand Buu's attacks rather than just attack him).
It took a universal Genki Dama to kill him so I presume that he's at the very least a Skyfather, so should be Goku since hes far more than capable to generate enough energy to destroy him, but I hear that in DBZ saga he's classic superman tier and superman is a mid-tier/ Herald at most? Yah its a bit inconsistent.

SSJ2 Goku vs Kid Buu was filler. Also SSJ2 Vegeta without the Majin Charm is weaker than SSJ2 Goku, their fight was also mostly filler.
Buu Saga filler fights were pretty well done.

Base Vegeto vs Buuhan is also pretty bad. If he was really beating buu badly in base form then A SSJ let alone a SS2 just blinks Buu out of existence. But the difference gap between them is not that massive to the point of 100×+ mismatch unless we buy the talk that Goku was downplaying all the time and could've finished fat buu and kid buu if he really wanted. But that was a bluff i think.
