This ending will never be topped right?
I cant think of any other adaptation where music, visuals and cut work together so perfectly.

TURN, HELLHOUND!
Man I really need to webm this shit
Worst spoken dialogue of any movie ever released.
Shakespeare sucked cock
>>68924566
>I cant think of any other adaptation where music, visuals and cut work together so perfectly.
I can

It was really great. Most of the movie was a little too artsy and pretentious for its own good, but the ending was fantastic.
>>68924606
Here you go senpai, suck my cock later.
>>68926423
>too artsy and pretentious for its own good
Get the fuck out of here with those nonsensical types of """"criticisms"""""
The movie is not that good. The visuals are great but they doesn't match the theatrical acting and this doesn't match the brutality of the setting.
The drama of Macbeth and the meaning of the play is lost in pointless masturbation.
>>68926672
Based Sean Harris.
>Adam Arkapaw (True Detective) as DP
>Snowtown director
>The Fass
>Cotillard (GOAT role in TDKR)
>Shakespeare
shit was cash.
>>68926423
>too artsy and pretentious
are you a retard? you better be

I've watched fiour different adaptations of Makbeth and he's right.
While the visual side of the movie is nice it doesn't hold that much emotional punch.
It misses the point.
Patrick Stewart one several years ago was much better even though it was tv.
Where can I 'aquire' this movie
>>68924566
looks gorgeous
misses the point of the play.
THANE MACBETH I AM SCOTLAND
Why is /tv/ so easily impressed this days?
>>68927091
This is literally blindingly beautiful. Shame this effect can only be used once in the lifetime of a director.
>>68927463
>"My men would like a word with you about your persssssonal belongings..."
>>68924566
>Thine new empire?
Is there a torrent for this?
This movie was fucking embarrassing to watch
Fassbender was fine but this talentless French woman fucked up every scene she was in.

Fucking turbofagetcapeshitcucks.
If you want a sleeping pill Macbeth adaptation, go watch it in a fuckign theatre. This is pure kino!
>>68927596
I wish they'd stop giving Cotillard English-speaking roles
Macbethâ„¢ did literally nothing wrong.
Jokes, memes, and shitposts aside his take on "O full of scorpions is my mind" is probably my favorite read of the line I've ever heard.
>>68924566
>Shakespeare
>only cares about visuals, music and editing
Definition of a pleb. The acting is the most important and pretty much everyone in the background was flatline.
Also, what's with the scene in which Fassbender swims and yells 'Weeeee' or something? Seemed out of place.
Is there a good adaptation of the best Shakespeare play?
>>68927709
Titus Andronicus
>>68927706
Everyone knows the fucking material. The visuals are the ONLY new exciting thing.
>>68927709
I wouldn't say it's the best thing Shakespeare has written, but it's his most popular. Romeo & Juliet: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0063518/?ref_=nv_sr_1
>>68927841
>everyone knows the fucking material
No, not really.
>>68927709
There's no general consensus on the best Shakespeare play, they're all pretty good tbqh senpai.
A personal favourite of mine is Richard III with Ian McKellen. Pure evil main character from start to finish, which McKellen does with so much smarm and charisma and lots of cheeky fourth wall breaks. Script is cut quite heavily to make a cleaner narrative for the screen, which I have no problem with but some purists might.
>>68926672
GOD DAMN IT
Now I have to download this movie to see the scene again
>>68927709
Laurence Fishburne as Othello with Kenneth Branagh as Iago is pretty good
>>68924566
>it's an assbender joint
>>68928045
It's right here dumdum
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wLzQszNrNkM
Fassbender, Colltiard, Consindine etc were all very good but Sean Harris was a fucking god in this. Best MacDuff I've ever seen.
>>68928119
Is it safe to talk about Othello? I don't want to set off a memestorm.
Just to clarify to everyone in this thread, Polanski's adaption is the GOAT. Having the King wake during Macbeth's bout in indecision, essentially forcing his hand, was a masterstroke.
>>68928371
>Having the King wake during Macbeth's bout in indecision, essentially forcing his hand, was a masterstroke.
I thought I was the only one to appreciate that.
>>68927875
>best Romeo & Juliet adaptation isn't West Side Story
>>68928371
>>68928414
>Having the King wake during Macbeth's bout in indecision, essentially forcing his hand, was a masterstroke.
That sounds cool, but Polanski Macbeth is boring as shit.
>>68928626
>implying West Side Story could beat the naked 17 year old from R&J
>>68928672
Hell no it aint. The prophesy scene in particular is badass.
>>68928676
sorry i'm not a pedo
West Side Story has a GOAT soundtrack
GOAT visuals
Ben Horne and Dr. Jacobi
>>68928705
I was 20 minutes in when I turned it off, maybe less.
I was trying to study cause I'm making my own Macbeth adaptation.
>>68928728
>sorry i'm not a pedo
>>68928767
>I was trying to study
>turning it off after 20 minutes
You're a shit student then.
>>68927091
Why is the sky red?
>>68927709
Ian McKellan as Richard III is good. Kenneth Branagh's Much Ado About Nothing is good too
>>68928767
I'm sure yours will be way better once you've added in all those explosions.
Fuck you're a faggot.
>>68928864
Good question. The answer is - because it looks cool.
>>68928860
I was tired and bored, I should probably try watching it again.
>>68928951
I can't afford explosions.
The film was uneven, but I thought the ending was a legit improvement on the play.
>>68929036
You haven't watched shit if you just watch 20 minutes of Polanski's Macbeth, friend.
>>68924566
>had not gone to cinema for years
>mom insists on taking me out (don't judge please) to watch a film
>she wanted to watch some mainstream romantic shit made in my country
>convince her to watch this
>screen room almost empty, literally perfect to enjoy a movie
>she falls asleep SEVERAL TIMES because she found it "boring"
What the fuck, man.
>>68924566
garbage adaptation
