Why is the cinematography so shit? I understand they want all the films to feel similar but I don't think that excuses them from looking like a commercial

Compared to?

Because when we get good MCU movies like Thor, that are made by genuinely talented directors, the idiot fans whine about them.
>>68891755
Thor was terrible though.
>>68891767
I think you just proved his point.
>>68891755
>Thor
>Genuinely good
>>68891746
At least it has a distinctive style.
>>68891837
That he has shit taste ?
Thor was ugly, had terrible pacing and over 1/3 of the movie was about Nathalie Portman playing Nathalie Portman
>>68891837
I think you and he are the same person.
>>68891862
>throwaway comic relief character with 10 lines of dialogue
>omg shit movie wtf
Go away.
>>68891617
Some of the movies have good cinematography though. What you mean is 'where are my instagram filters and over the top colour grading?'
>>68891755
>Because when we get good DCEU movies like Dawn of Justice, that are made by genuinely talented, directors, the idiot fans whine about them.
>>68891942
Oh really? BvS was directed by the guy who wrote Sucker Punch. Thor was directed by the guy who wrote Hamlet. But you probably didn't know that because all you watch is capeshit.
>>68891617
GotG looked good.
>>68891942
Are there are actually people who are ignorant and tasteless enough to believe that Zack Snyder is a talented director? Am I being tricked?
>>68891986
Thor was directed by Shakespeare?
>>68891986
Pretty sure Shakespeare didn't direct Thor, but I could be wrong.
>>68891617
Because the masses don't even know what cinematography is.
>>68892018
No, obviously not. I'm talking about the movie Hamlet.
>>68891986
Whoa Shakespeare came back to Direct Thor?
BASED MARVEL!
Ant-Man has top tier kinömatik cinematographiqué though.
>>68891942
The problem with BvS precisely is that the only good thing is the cinematography.
People don't like them because all the heroes are depressed, jadded douchebags and no one likes people like that.
>>68892060
...Still written by Shakespeare. The movie and the play are quite literally the same thing.
>>68892060
Which one?
>>68892097
This guy probably thinks Zack Synder wrote Watchmen as well.
>>68892018
>>68892036

you plebs need to leave
>>68891617
Some of the MCU movies have great cinematography though

>14 cuts in a 10 second clip
what a joke
>>68892471
>a lot of cuts are automatically bad
hello r/movies!
>>68891617
>still mad at 28%
>>68892471
Are quick cuts the new ''b-b-but muh parking lot''?
>>68892471
If you think a high number of edits is automatically a bad thing you have no idea what you're talking about.
>>68892507
Actually it's 27%, is still falling.
>>68892471
>cuts = bad
Where did this meme come from again?
The only reason to complain about cuts is if they are distracting, which they aren't in this case. You can perfectly see every little thing that's happening.
>>68891881
>horrible storytelling = distinctive style
>>68891881
Yeah, they are distinctively bad.
The look of the MCU movies just feels so bland; it's like they're shooting a TV show and not a blockbuster. They all have that same washed-out, digital grayness to them as well.
>>68891617
>>68891755
I liked both Thor moviesALOT
>>68891617
Is this another Evans posters BTFO of DCucks thread? Am I too late to become an Evans bro?
>>68892716
its never too late to become an Evans bro
>>68892596
>TV show
I don't get this comes from other than maybe the fact that a lot of the MCU is set in bright daylight? What did you mean by this?
>>68892087
Underrated post and underrated film. Not sure why so many people feel meh about Antman when it is one of the best capekino films period.
It has the perfect balance of comic roots and mainstream appeal without bashing either camps on the head. Not too many quips, and not too many deadpan serious business moments. There's decent choreography and design in addition to pretty good framing and surreal cgi.
It sucks that this had/has such lukewarm reception because it's such a solid film adaptation.
