Nowadays, there are rarely interesting discussions about Gantz in /a/. In one, though, they fleshed out why Gantz arcs were so damn entertaining.

The same formula is applied to the final arc. I mean, all the parts without Tae or Kurono looking for her are godly. Two of my favorite characters come from there.
Anyway, this Osaka arc is Gantz´s peak. It has so many memorable moments. My personal favourite is how the pervert literally escapes his death by fucking.

The guy was somewhat an envoy from another alien species that previously managed to repel the giants invasion. They were using the fat girl as a medium, for encoding info such as how to construct weapons, the black spheres and so on.

I am actually on the other camp. I loved Gantz from the first part. The dwarf alien was fantastic, then the series when to shit when the edgy due entered Gantz by murdering everyone and then vampires and then even more retarded shit.
The manga was at it best when it was basically monsters of the week and basically experimenting with how people deal with their new reality.
