mine is pretty much the opposite of yours, I absolutely loved the first few episodes with the Oceanic Six off-island and the ones left behind going through time. Once they got back on the island and joined the Dharma Initiative it kind of dragged before picking up again for the finale

Really anon?

24 was good but not anything special, BB comes close but doesn't fill the void of Losy
>>
>>68839035
I like that part of the season, because it feels like it settles in and finds itself. The first half with all the time travel just felt like it was going nowhere at all, completely disjointed. I also really dislike all the Oceanic Six stuff because it just feels like there's no depth to any of it, they just have to go back and nothing of interest actually happens.

There's so many action sequences happening in the flashforwards too, feels like a complete compensation for lack of good writing, instead of exploring any internal struggles the character may be going through (Like the season 3 finale did) it's just a set of circumstances surrounding them that force them in a certain direction until they all wind up on the Ajira flight.
>>
>>68839098
Jughead was pretty weak, desu-san. Brought total stability, which just seems wrong for a Desmond episode, had no goat tier feels either, it was just a rather forgettable and uneventful episode that wasn't even allowed to have a proper conclusion, they throw that in 2 episodes later instead.
>>
>>68839098
>>68839278
You know what Jughead should have been? A time travel clusterfuck between Desmond and Faraday, since Desmond is special and can break the rules, those two should have been the focus of the episode, Faraday constantly feeding Desmond new memories, the episode could essentially have been Desmond back on the island in some strange dream state where he's hanging out with Faraday and finding out more information about the others and what he has to do, maybe use it as an excuse to see the hatch set again.

None of that happened, but ideally that's exactly what should have happened and would have fit completely in line with all of his other episodes which are all non-linear and jumping back and forth between events that somehow correlate with one another.

Jughead as it stands was really boring.
>>
>>68839234
I see what you mean, and I guess that's why I liked the first part so much. The brisk pace with getting everyone where they need to be. And it also felt more of an ensemble type show; I like seeing everyone all at once instead of some people being sidelined for a couple episodes. All in all though it's probably my second or third favorite season
>>
>>68839407
Really you like it that much? It didn't seem that special to me, it's got plenty of good episodes though, and definitely is better than season 6. But I don't know, probably 5th in place for me, actually maybe it's better than season 4.

There would not be Waspgirl or Taurielgirl

I'm on season 6 just finished the richard episode, it was pretty good

It's been a long time.
So I figured, I could rewatch it. Does anybody have good experiences with a second run?

Yeah, it's a great show to rewatch. I've done it many times over.

Thinking about watching this. Currently out of series I'm aware of that I haven't seen
>>
>>68843328
Something you need to know going into it is that it's a scifi/fantasy-show.

A lot of the people who didn't like it were expecting hard science to explain everything and what wasn't explained is mostly really inane shit in like watching LotR and asking "why did the elves have pointy ears?"

While the expository dialogue was certainly there it never reached Dexter-tier, so a lot of the frequently asked questions were actually answered, just pay some attention.

hell yeah.
rewatching now, and its even better desu.

knowing the ending, knowing about what the smoke monster is, MIB and Jacob's struggle, dharma really do add a new dimension to the whole thing.

I'm enjoying it so fucking much, I really miss this show.
>>
>>68842461
This is true, sadly, TWD's writing, the dialogue in particular is fucking god awful.

TWD dialogue always feels unnatural, long winded, and utterly lacking of any subtlety.

Also, TWD has no end in sight, there's literally no goal apart from survival, there's only so long one can stand watching it. It's already starting to wear thin.

Jeremy Bentham was a slightly above average episode on first airing, but after seeing the finale, with the new perspective its incredible. So fucking tragic.

In general S5 was probably one of my favorite seasons, apart from "jughead", I loved all of the episodes. It would have been ok if it wasn't a Desmond centric, I expect way more of those.
>>
It got boring after the plane crash.
>>
Hate how John ended up. Adversary to pussy.
>>
>>68847227
Had the opposite effect on me. I liked the episode the first time I saw it, after I had the full context I thought it was a shit send-off to that character.

Lost is a one time thing, I doubt its ever gonna be repeated. If it will be, it'll probably be a netflix show or something.

abc took a huge risk with Lost and its basically a miracle that it worked out. But despite it being wildly succesful it really exhausted its audience by the end.

this hurts so much, especially because lindelof keeps taunting that he knows.

like what the fuck dude, the show ended, just say it.

It's not fair that she's bigger than Josh Holloway and Matthew Fox

They were probably just a random group that got caught up in a time jump for a brief moment.

>>68837414
i can't decide if I'm more impressed by Twin Peaks or Lost in handling large ensemble casts. I haven't seen Newsroom, but heard that had a large cast. Any other shows that really build communities?
>>
>>68837414
>no one's mentioned The Leftovers

I had the same void after I finished LOST. The Leftovers filled it back and then some. Its from Lindelof, but it's even better.

my favorite show ever. the endless discussion it provided each week was mental. its probably never going to be replicated by anything else.

The Leftovers trumps Lost in every way and I loved Lost, The Leftovers hole will probably never fill after the final season.
>>
The 100, Black Sails
>>
>>68848818
at least we get a final season

>inb4 plebs finish season three and MUH ANSWERS aren't there

if you're watching The Leftovers for them to solve the mystery you're doing it wrong
>>
>>68848839
The 100 really has an "early Lost"-feeling to it.

If you can look past the young adult drama bullshit, it's surprisingly good.

Some like hoth was great, with the exception of the flashbacks. But Bentham is overrated and a poorly made farewell episode for John Locke.

why even bother anymore

Yeah. I don't think it'll ever happen again. LOST is one of those shows that only comes around once in a lifetime.

It's not even that it is the best written show ever, but it truly was better than the sum of it parts, everything came together in a really special way.
