The beginning was great. The end was pretty good despite the new soldiers being jobbers. Everything in the middle with the garbage people fucking sucked.

Soldier is awesome. I saw it in theater, so I can't be blamed for its failure.
Pic related is what Rush Hour should have been. Marc Dacascos kicks ten tons of ass in this. Also:
>18 year old Brittany Murphy making fuck my eyes in every scene

>fuck me*
Forgot pic

My dad has that one on DVD, might give it a watch when I go home for the weekend.
>>68835579
It was pretty well received when it came out but for some reason it doesn't seem to have stuck around as a classic. Still solid.
>>68835579
Pretty sure it bombed, but it's classic. So is Cutthroat Island.
What is it about late 80s/90s action that is so fuckin' comfy?
>>68835741
Because that's what you watched when you were young.
>>68835579
Fucking great movie. Great dialogue, SLJ is hilarious in it. Super underrated.
I don't know why I like The Postman.
It's 3 fucking hours long, and overall it's a bloated mess.
But I still like it.the villain is weirdly memorable too
>>68835312
Rising Sun
>>68835921
Holy shit, I love the postman and especially it's villain. The guy sold fucking copy machines before the Apocalypse. Fucking yes. YES.
This is criminally underrated. It's fucking hilarious
>>68836204
The lost Die Hard.
I have a soft spot for space truckers
>>68835312
Watched GoodBadFlicks didn't you?
This is 1988, but I love Shoot to Kill.
The main 3 reasons I enjoy it:
>clancy brown is the psychotic villain
>sidney poitier scares a bear away by flapping his arms
>tom berenger is surprisingly funny
Watch it when you're bored at 2am and it'll be a good time.
>>68836363yes.
>>68836300
dis nigga gets it. space truckers is fucking awesome.
This is 1984, but it has a robot pimp.
>>68836300
>square hogs
>charles Dances revving up his robocock
Why did they even keep making movies after this?
>power perceived...is power achieved
>>68835516
One of the best 90s movies, period. Action, underrated, whatever. Great film.
>>68835516
>>68836580
I love this too. Are there any other films that have a vibe similar to this one? I really liked the middle of nowhere atmosphere.
>>68835704
Not just bombed but bankrupted Carolco.
>>68835921
Because William Patton is a great character actor. Nothing weird about it.I also enjoy the postman.
>>68836700
The Vanishing Point remake was in 97 and was pretty good. Also based Viggo.
i have a soft spot for movies that happen in only one enclosed location
It's from the 80s but I don't care. This film is comfy as fuck. I really love 80s and 90s scifi. Something about the spaceship/weapon/costume design really feels comfy to me. Probably the reason why Aliens is one of my favourite movies of all time. The Colonial Marines were designed so well.

Whatever happened to Jason Scott Lee? After Dragon and Tarzan he disappeared for a long time until buffing up even more and showing up in Soldier only to disappear again.
>>68837366
Yeah he got his own Jungle Book too and vanished in the early 2000's.
>>68835647
Good choice! The fight choreography is based.
Also, first time i saw Brittany Murphy (never seen Clueless right in the 90s back then). Gone too soon.
