I thought aliens didn't have eyes. What's going on in the pic?

Cool fan art but I never got this concept of "weaponizing" the aliens. Literally anything they can do a drone can do better

If Aliens Don't Have Eyes Then How Can They See Mirrors?
>>
>>68828120
i think the traditional alien that you and i are familiar with is actually what happens when a facehugger hits a human. i don't know if a xenomorph would be different if it attached itself to a dog or a yak, for example.

>>68828071
Aliens have eyes beneath their protective outer armor skin thing.
>>
>>68828120
They also risk breaking free and destroying an entire planet. The cost benefit ratio would be in the drones favor.
>>

Aliens literally are drones you imbeciles. Like ants no real free will. They're literally weapons made by the engineers
>>
>>68828236
The only difference is when a drone breaks it just crashes and burns. When an alien breaks they destroy your entire military base and most likely the whole planet.

A human VR controlling an alien would just slow the alien down. It would be a better weapon in its natural state. Also this destroys all the fear of the xenomorph. You are literally saying that humans can control the uncontrollable and make it not scary. A serial killer is scary. A serial killer under the control of a VR mind control machine is not scary.
>>
>>68829122
>engineers having the same DNA as humans

It was established at the beginning of the movie that they created us.

>they send only seven people

They sent much more than that. Atleast 4 people died when the black goo zombie attacked them. And it was 2090, how many people do you expect to fit on a new spaceship that traveling further than any other human beings at this point? It was probably at capacity as is.

>they send no soldiers

probably because it was a venture by a private company? If you were actually paying attention than you would see that there were "military type" people guarding weyland as well as fighting the black goo zombie.

>the whole caesarean scene

Literally nothing wrong with it.

>>
>>68829125
Every bad idea in the script came directly from Ridley Scott. And most of his even worse ideas were cut from the film. He actually wanted Jesus to be an Engineer and their attack against Earth was retaliation for crucifying Jesus the Engineer. Not even joking. Ridley admitted this in an interview. He actually thought it was a good idea. Ridley Scott is the George Lucas of kino.

>>Scientist man trying to pet the Snake-Alien(wich was hissing at him. Even though earlier in the film, he was afraid of an Engineer corpse.

>>The whole Caesarean section scene.
Literally the best scene of the movie and the one with the heaviest Alien vibe

Promethus had stellar visuals and atmosphere and a great serious sci-fi style which I appreciate. It definitely had issues which mostly came from the script and Lindelof fuckery but so many of the "flaws" I see listed are nitpicks or retarded meme shit that apply to any movie (WHY DIDN'T THEY GO THIS WAY INSTEAD OF THAT WAY??? 0/10)

>>
>>68829122

>>
>>68829606
The machine was designed for weyland you retard. And it wasn't even a caesarean program meant for pregnancies, it was an operation to remove a foreign object from the body.

So your argument is "yes I agree". Well thanks, not sure what is the point of getting mad if you agree.

For the record, this isn't the first time they did a "remove a alien surgically" none of the prior times did it bluntly associate with reproductive rights by having the machine not recognize female bodies. Without that addition it probably wouldn't feel as blunt of a statement of giving women a licence to kill.

Seriousy in the first movie, maybe the first two at a push it made sense for them to go to all that trouble to get an Alien. But there's literally no reason for them to be as determined to get one as they have been.

What exactly is the advantage of having a violent, uncontrollable killing machine that can turn entire planets into hives of others of its kind? It's like releasing a deadly airborne super virus to kill your enemies. Yeah sure they're dead, but now you've got to deal with the problem you unleashed.

That in the one case where they most associate the alien with regular pregnancy is also the one time that the machine isn't programed to normally perform that operation, requiring whats her face to basically perform a back alley abortion in the face of being denied proper services.

TO: ALL WY-ESM SECURITY CLEARANCE 5 OR HIGHER
The xenomorph represents a wellspring of potential research and development for the Company. From materials research to the Biomed Division, the radical differences between this life form and any found on Earth can revolutionize the way we do everything from manufacture spacecraft to treat our parents' diseases. There are billions to be made in the weapons sector alone, but that isn't looking at the bigger picture. If we can replicate the biological structure of the xenomorph, we could grow skyscrapers, or starships. This organism represents the future of human industry, and it is important that Weyland-Yutani scientists get their hands on samples. It is also worth remembering that investment now will pay off in the future: the sooner the Company can get specimens, the farther ahead of our competitors we can get. The capture of live samples should be made our - and your - top priority, as should the restriction of our competitors' access to these unique and highly profitable life forms.
Thank you again.

So originally it was actually set on LV-426 as well? Fucking hell Prometheus sucked so much ballsack. It has no reason to even exist, it explains precisely jack shit about the Engineers or the Xenomorphs and doesn't even set up the events for Alien.

>Oh look at us, we're making a prequel to Alien, but it's like totally not a prequel because it's not the same planet lmao. It's totally it's own thing and is capable of standing on its own two feet as a sci-fi movie srsly.

Wasn't it Abrams who fucked this up? I know it was some Lost writer.

You can remember scenes and characters without remembering their names autist. Stay butthurt and in denial that your precious movie franchise has liberal writers like everything in hollywood.

This isn't debate club.

You talked your silly agenda about the surgery scene in Prometheus having a political message, and I stupidly replied to your garbage saying that given the nature of having a fucking alien in your chest/womb you'd eject that motherfucker too.
So I'll type it all out again; you're full of shit and no, I don't have anything better to do right now.

I just read what I think is the comic tie in today. It had a black female lead and synthetic people that looked like the ones from that new game
