Does anyone else sort their films by runtime?
>>68810236
Just you m8
Runtime doesn't matter to me since I play my movies at different speeds. A 3hr flick may as well be as quick as a 2hr cinema.
>>68810236
Fag
Why is every flick 2+ hours long these days?
Autism really has no limit
>>68810236
does anyone else delete their films after seeing?
why the fuck would you save films?
>>68810236
Do you include our exclude credits as part of the run time?
>>68810236
>nothing but entry-level shit
>sorts by running time instead of by genre, release date or alphabetical
Just use Kodi and you can sort it by runtime, rating etc
>>68810236
No.
my little autistic quirk is I google a TV series along with "feminism" before I watch it. If it's generally described as "problematic", "sexist" or "entertaining male fantasies" then I'll watch it. If it's hailed as "empowering" and "kick-ass feminism" I'll usually flat out reject it there and then unless it's got crazy high reviews.
I have a low tolerance for BS.
>>68810789
I only save the rewatchable ones
>>68810236
No, only thing I ever sorted somehow is 007 collection so it would be easier for me to marathon it.
>>68810789
Only delete garbage films. Once watched, I move everything into a portable HD to share with my buddies since they have to idea how to torrent.
>>68810789
Full runtime. I just open the film, check the number in the corner, and rename the folder.
>>68810236
folders for years
>>68810982
Are they really worth watching from the beginning?
Ashamedly I've never really watched the bond movies. I've downloaded From Russia With Love and Dr No to begin with, not sure if this is a good starting point.
>>68811085
yes
>no seconds
pleb
>>68811085
Sean Connery was the best Bond, so it's a great starting place
>>68810236
I have 14 TB of movies, so it's too much work to organize like that.
>>68811085
I don't know man depends on your taste, I love old Bond movies, before the realism meme kicked in, villains with ridiculous plans like, genocide from space, having a lair under a volcano etc.
But if you think this sounds stupid then they are not for you, and you better stick with Craig.
>>68811288
Large file sizes, or just a lot of films?
>>68811339
Average size is 6 GB
>>68810236
This is a terrifyingly stupid idea, especially assuming you already did it to a large number of files
Pic related, is also terrifyingly stupid
>>68810236
well thats just fucking impractical
I do have a folder for movies 90 minutes or less for days I don't have much free time
I sort my films by month and year they were released.
>>68810236
No, but I always check a movie's runtime before I watch. I usually watch movies before I go to bed, so I try not to watch super long films since I'll fall asleep partway through.
>>68810236
No, I delete the film after watching it.
>>68813109
This, who the fuck wants to keep 20gb film file that you are maybe going to rewatch in 3 years
>>68810236
Damn this board really is full of autists.
>>68810236
what the fuck, media player like xbmc exist dude. you can sort from name date filename and even date you're downloading the file.
>>68810313
This. I did Once Upon A Time In America in about 2 hours.
Now this is autism
>>68813120
Terrabyte hard drives, m8
>>68813253
Good call, it's shit. I watched it on 4x speed and finished it in about 45 minutes.
>>68810789
Nah, I also do this. I only keep the ones I really like. If I come across a cheap physical copy I mostly buy it.
>>68813120
I have a petabyte on my NAS. You all know terabyte drives are cheap as fuck now, right?
>>68813157
>this board
>not the entirety of 4chan including yourself
>>68813253
>>68813321
>>68810313
>>68813430
At least I'm not a redditor like you
>>68810236
no, that's autistic.
Although i can't find a proper way to sort em. Alphabet is like the.. expected way. I'd like to be able to put tags on em, and search for genre, director, year.
Does windows allow tags on folders?
>>68810982
>Having folders for movies
I just called mine
>James Bond in (01) Dr. No (1962)
>James Bond in (02) From Russia with Love (1963)
etc.
>>68810789
Yes, I mean I never rewatch them so what's the point
>not sorting movies by word count
>>68810789
I don't even save them, I just torrent, watch and delete. If I want to rewatch after some time I repeat the process. Fast download so no problem
Why would I save a compressed copy which will be inferior in the future? Yeah you can say "but torrents won't exist anymore and you will be fucked" yeah I don't believe that, with fuckers like you saving all these goddamn files there will always be a way.
Or if I stop being a NEET and actually start earning a living, gonna start a bluray collection
>>68816363
>gonna start a bluray collection
Fuck blurays man. I had the same though, I make enough money so why not buy some stuff, right? It's so inferior to a torrented rip, it's not even funny. I can just connect my pc to my 50" flatscreen, click the file, and boom, movie plays.
Bluray means starting up my ps3, starting up the controller, getting through menus, put in bluray, wait, start up bluray, unskipable 20th century fox intro, unskipable something else, unskipable movie intro, and then the awkward as fuck controls just to get the fucking movie to play.
Am I the only one that torrents movies and keeps them just to rewatch certain scenes again and again?
I rarely rewatch a whole movie but do this shit instead
I list mine by runtime, year of production and country of origin
Pretty fucking spergy, I know
You gotta be pretty damn stupid to prefix folder names with runtime, jesus christ
>director-name_year_movie-title_quality-rip
>>68810236
>The Deer Hunter
Not
>Deer Hunter, The (year)
If you don't do it like me, you're wrong and stupid.
>>68819527
My favorite band is (1979–present),The, The
>>68817673
What? Are you aware that you don't need a playstation to play a bluray disc?
I use media monkey so I can change how I want to find a film with just a click.
