What are some of the best film scores/OSTs that you can remember?
Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford and Prometheus for me.

Good thread, OP.
Music and sound can make or break a film, moreso than many other aspects of it.
At the top of my head Amores Perros' OST is really good, so is Biutiful (had an Inarritu binge lately).
this is a really good one. very inspirational. very underrated and under appreciated, but it's among Goldsmith's greatest work in my opinion. this score really elevates the whole movie and makes it memorable. it's so good you can usually feel yourself getting bored with it when there isn't any music playing.
Do TV shows count? Fargo (the series) has one of the best soundtracks I have ever heard.
Akira
Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence
The Royal Tenenbaums
Blade Runner
Some of my favorites, and all done by musicians not previously known for film scores too.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who liked Prometheus' soundtrack.

Sicario would still be a good movie without the OST but it would still be only half as good.
