Captain America can just lift the hammer with the table attached to it.
But it doesn't happen. Why?
Because the hammer know it and presses against it and makes sure it doesn't break the table
They can't lift the hammer because it's heavy, not because it's fucking glued to the surface it's currently positioned on.
That means that the table was pressed down with all the hammer's weight, so lifting the table would be as hard as lifting the hammer itself.
BUCKY HELP ME IT'S TOO HEAVY
>>68757682
then the table would simply break
The table wasn't worthy
It's magic
There is no sence in that, its just magic
Steve could life it, he just didn't because that would mean embarrassing his friend Thor and taking his place as heir to Asgard.
>>68757542
Because the hammer isn't heavy, it just can't be moved unless Odin finds you worthy. It's magic, ain't gotta explain shit.
cap could lift it.
he realised it but didn't do it
>when your hammer likes being lifted by someone else
>>68758129
>thor got cucked
>>68757742
it's not a real thing, and it's an issue that they're happy to not tackle
tony literally starts quipping about what would happen in an elevator or something
>>68758129
What the hell is he wearing?
>>68757542
The issue here isn't weather or not he could "lift" anything. its not a matter of weight.
the hammer is magical, it cannot be LIFTED by anyone unworthy. ANYONE. you could sit here and create mathimatical formulas of how to trick the system that is mjonirs logic.
but its just fckiin magic bitch.
>>68757542
I didn't realize the table had its own gravitational pull....
>>68758052
>>68758121
No.
Steve is worthy, but he is such a good guy that he doesn't consider himself worthy and he never will.
That is why he can't lift it.
>>68759160
Clothes you fucking faggot.
>>68759160
>>68759428
>this is what marvel fags really believe
>>68759428
It doesn't matter whether you think you're worthy or not. Steve isn't worthy.
>>68757542
>>68757682
The hammer is in a fixed point in space relative to it's surroundings.
>>68759592
seems legit
>>68759583
he moved the hammer but and thor was scared
>>68757542
BECAUSE CAP KILLED PEOPLE
THATS WHY VISOR CAN LIFT IT
BECAUSE HE WAS BORN YESTERDAY
HE DINDU NUFFIN YET
>>68759583
I think that the Asgardian definition of worthiness would include being sure of oneself.
I don't think Steve is sure of himself, only the ideals in his mind.
>>68759583
Steve is worthy, but couldn't lift the hammer because his intention wasn't noble.
He was trying to lift the hammer purely to show off that he can lift the hammer.
>>68759656
>BECAUSE CAP KILLED PEOPLE
>Thor never killed anyone
>>68761507
Thor only killed Ice Giant fucking shits, rock man fucking shits and dark elf fucking shits.
Those don't count.
>>68759592
>>68761543
Thor has killed hundreds, if not thousands of sentient beings
>>68762201
So Cap hasn't killed enough people yet?
Sweet
>>68761543
But I guess that's the point of Mjolnir, no?
You must be a strong warrior that can put necessity in front of morality, but now whitout being fair.
>>68757542
He will in Infinity War.
>>68759592
This.
The hammer isn't heavy.
It simply just does not move unless it used by someone worthy.
A pretty good set up would be to have Thor incapacited and drained of most of his power/will. Cap is running on pure "duty calls" climactic adrenaline trying to drag it across a long distance to Thor. He manages to knock out several space fodder henchmen in an Oldboy-esque eye candy single shot, but as the scene goes on it's perfectly clear that Mjolinir is incredibly draining, even on Cap.
He's staggering. Barely about to make it. His face looks like he doesn't even have the strength to toss his shield much less carry the hammer a few more steps to his fallen comrade in dire need. He slowly falls to one knee as the hammer pulls down most of his weight with him. Slowmo shot with Middle Earth opera music. Montage of clips showing the other Avengers emphasizing how important this fulcrum moment is, and if Cap can't do it then who can?
The music swells to a deafening, pregnant pause of silence. An old wrinkly hand rests on Cap's shoulder, and a familiar voice is heard. "Way to go sport. You done good to make it this far. But no one makes it all the way alone."
Cap slowly looks up, obviously rejuvenated with inspiration surging through his sea-to-shining-sea eyes. Once the lens flare dulls down to reveal the old man's face, covered by distinct sunglasses, into focus he continues.
"All we ever need..."
Stan Lee takes off his sunglasses to reveal-
"...is a little...push."
-damn Alfred back at it with the Batmobile assistance going for the touchdown.
The hammer did lift though. It just that they both realized he didn't need it.
>>68757742
then what if two people did it - one lifts the hammer and one lifts the table at the same time?
>>68763020
Fuck
Too low int probably.
