I really don't think E. Clarke did bad with her role. I can understand if someone thinks she too small, but her acting was fine for what really was in my mind, the best Terminator film since T2. (Not that I thought Terminator 3 and Salvation were good mind you.)
Arnold did fine, but he getting close to not being able to do those roles. Jason Clarke did fine as John Conner.
The plot in my mind was fine. Both of the first movie terminator jumps are disrupted by other timetravel robots, and Since it hard to top the T1000 for creativity, they went with a plot shock of John Conner being a robot.
Of course, it ruined that moment by putting that in the previews.
