>smartest man on the Earth
>uses book title as password
>>
>part of plan
>needed them to go to the artic
>didn't even need the password to realize it was him
>not really relevant either way
>should have been seen as a trap because of that alone.

Yeah, you'll pretty much have people telling you anything stupid was part of Moore's parody.

Then that one dickhead who's still sore about "muh psychics" and "muh fake star squid" will show up and start complaining Manhattan wasn't a decent and more internally consistant threat.

Then, as it's Snyder - BvS hate.
>>
>>68707302
No it just wasn't needed for them to crack the password. They were already in the fuckers office...
>>
>>68707268
>needed them to go to the artic
Why?
>>
>guy sets up literally every event that happens
>somehow it's unbelievable that his password would also be faked to get them to show up at his ice base
>>
>>68707302
Yet another reason the comic is better than the movie. In the comic it is HEAVILY implied that he made it his password specifically so that they would crack it.
>>
>>68707157
Didn't he want to be found out by them?
>>
>>68707375
Now ask me if I care.
>>
>>68707157
So is he a top or a bottom? He looks like he'd enjoy taking dick.
>>

See>>68707474
>>

because they were a part of his team and didn't want them to die? or possibly that he needed someone other than himself to know what he did?
>>
>smartest man
>keeps his gay porn on the desk top
>>
>>68707409
This. I don't see a point. Just to kill Rorschach? I'm pretty sure he could just lure him anywhere near explosion.
>>
>>68707507
he expected them to understand what he was trying to accomplish, didn't think that Rorschach would be against it
>>
>smartest man on Earth

The tachyon field that DIDN'T kill Manhattan was the only thing that was stopping him from seeing too far into the future.

so interestingly enough, as soon as his intentions to do the plan started Manhattan was affected by it. If there is a possibility of free will in this universe.

Either way, it was gunna happen that manhattan would get tachyonized.. it was fate, it could not be undone, since it already happened BEFORE it happened.

It's something cinemasins comment on heavily and you're just proving you're on par with them.

cool story bro.
>>
>>68707905
Sick burn dude, imma get ma creme.
>>
>>68707833
what are you talking about?
>>
It was in the 80's. People weren't as mindful about password security back then.
>>
>>68707975
mutually assured destruction

basically everybody loses in nuclear war, so it's never going to happen
>>
>>68708032
But they didn't use their birth year as code for combination lock on their safe, for example. Please tell me they didn't.
>>
>>68708199
Honestly wouldn't happen

MAD is all a show that countries put on to see who can be the most alpha

If someone DID actually launch a Nuke, the receivers wouldn't do anything. Better to lose a city, even dozens of cities and hundreds of millions of people, then to end human civilisation

On two separate occasions there could have been Nuclear war during the Cold War but the soviets in charge chose not to respond

>Ozy in the comic actually portrays himself as a hero by going right for the assassin
>Ozy in the movie hides behind a bunch of businessmen and his secretary before making a move
>Ozy in the comic doesn't exclaim anything about a cyanide pill in the dudes mouth, so it actually looks like a dude straight up killed himself after fucking up the assassination
>Ozy in the movie loudly exclaims he has a pill, even though he isn't seen ingesting it, so this seems super fucking weird.

>Ozy in the movie loudly exclaims he has a pill, even though he isn't seen ingesting it, so this seems super fucking weird.

Zack Snyder clearly thought the audience would be too stupid to understand the guy killed himself if someone didn't tell the audience he did.
>>
>>68708344
No, on one of those occasions a grunt chose not to report expecting a malfunction, he was right.

In both cases, it wasn't a real attack. Why would you expect a real response to fake launches?
>>
>>68707833
>Didn't understand that the concept of MAD was thrown out the window with the coming of Dr. Manhattan
>>
>>68708745
in one of those occasions it was a grunt who disobeyed a direct order
>>
>>68707157
Because he's a generic Bond villain
>>
>>68707506
Why hide it fæm?
>>
>>68710381
While better than the 60's-70's, the 80's were not an ideal time to be openly gay.
>>
>>68707434
so getting caught was part of his plan?
>>
>>68708405
>>68708648
I thought he forced the cyanide capsule into his mouth to kill him
>>
>>68712421

You're absolutely right.
>>
>smartest man in the world
>yet doesn't know if what he did was right

Deep as fuck not gonna lie
>>
>>68712421
You're right and the other anon was just baiting
>>
Was the computer file named "BOYS" ever explained?
>>
>>68714353
It was a folder full of Luthor reaction pics
>>
>>68707157
>what is hubris
>>
>>68707409
Why else would he put on his superhero costume if he wasn't expecting some of them as company?
>>
>>68714353
don't have to be a genius to be able to appreciate the beauty of the young human male
>>
>>68713396

I thought that was the point of all the watchmen and the movie.

No one is ever right, there's only perspectives and Dr. Manhattan got sick of earth and it's people because of that.
>>
>>68708202
>Please tell me they didn't.
I have very bad news for you
